Wakatobi’s Turtle Beach Bungalows

Wakatobi’s New Turtle Beach Bungalows combine stunning beach and ocean views with extra elbow room.

If you’ve ever said “I need my space,” then Wakatobi’s newest bungalows are for you. Set amidst the palms and other foliage on their namesake beach, Turtle Beach Bungalows are a jumbo-sized take on our popular Ocean Bungalows and include a beautiful beach setting with a stunning view of the ocean and reef.

For those not familiar with the resort, Turtle Beach is a scenic stretch of sand located at the southern end of the property. This setting is a bit more secluded section of the resort on a large expanse of beach, but just a short stroll to the Longhouse, restaurant, and dive center.

Couples will certainly appreciate the spacious comforts of Turtle Beach Bungalows, and a big appeal may be to families, both for the space and the tranquility of the beachfront setting. Floor plans mirror existing designs, and buildings are similarly constructed from sustainable materials by local workers.

Interiors feature rich woodwork and include a full range of modern comforts. Sleeping and relaxation spaces are some 20 percent larger than the resort's signature Ocean Bungalows.

Interiors feature the same rich woodwork and offer a full range of modern comforts. The difference is in the dimensions, as both sleeping and relaxation spaces are some 20 percent larger than those of the Ocean Bungalows.

Asian-style outdoor shower gardens feature a pair of rainfall shower heads and a separate outdoor entrance from the beach. This is ideal for swimmers and divers who don't want to track sand and water through the bungalow. Photo by Wakatobi Resort

Even more expansive are the bathroom and shower areas. The enlarged indoor bathrooms include double sinks and large dressing and drying spaces. This area in turn connects to an Asian-style outdoor shower garden featuring a pair of rainfall shower heads and a separate outdoor entrance from the beach.

Turtle Beach Bungalows can easily accommodate parents and two kids.  And for even more room and solitude, we added the first of several two-bedroom bungalows on Turtle Beach.
